Hey you!
First off, thank you for checking out my website!
My name is Merari, I am an independent artist who does things a little different then others. I’m am a self taught artist but would also consider my older siblings my art teacher’s growing up. I am originally from Hidalgo, Mexico and moved to NC with my family at the age of 5. I’ve always had a passion for art. Ever since the age of 3 I can recall coloring the walls of my bedroom (which I would not recommend). Growing up in a new country, state and city was difficult at first considering I did not know the language. But art was universal, I would come home each afternoon to color in my Lisa Frank coloring book with all my Crayola 64 count crayons. That is where my passion started. It was not until middle school that I first picked up acrylic paint and a brush. High school was a learning stage for me, I began to explore my passion into drawing/sketching but I found that paint was my true love. Then college came, and the real world started to set in. I did not major in art, but that didn’t stop me from taking courses at UNCG to help my creative side shine through, and so in the summer of 2019 “Merations” was created. Merations was created to share my talent and passion for art with others. I enjoy seeing my art hanging and being appreciated by others then just me.
As far as my creative process, it flows through time, as you can see from my gallery. I tend to think of different ideas in my head and somehow make them a reality with methodical thought, love, and passion. I enjoy creating various types of pieces because it keeps things interesting, shows my talent in many ways, and keeps me motivated to try new things.
Welcome to my little world!
